Christian Bruneau

C Bruneau PhotoChristian Bruneau, graduated from The National Institute of Industrial Chemistry in Rouen, France, in 1974. He completed his PhD thesis at the National School of Chemistry in Rennes, and obtained a CNRS position in 1980. In 1986, he joined the team of P. H.Dixneufat the University of Rennes, where he developed his research in the field of homogeneous organometallic catalysis. His interests include transition metal catalysts and applications focused on green chemistry by means of atom economical and cascade reactions. His scientific contribution consists in >300 publications, 20 review articles, 29 book chapters and the edition of 3 books. He has received several awards including the Paul Langevin prize of the French Academy of Sciences (2012) and the Joseph-Achille Le Bel prize from the French Chemical Society (2016).
