Manfred Scheer

scheer-photoManfred Scheer received all his academic degrees from the University of Halle-Wittenberg (Germany). He performed research stays at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2012, at the Max-Planck-Institute für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim/Ruhr and at the Indiana University in Bloomington (USA). Since 2004, he has held the chair of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Regensburg (Germany). He is a full member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities and also serves as an Associate Editor of Chemical Communications. His research focuses on the chemistry of polypnictogen complexes and their use as building blocks in supramolecular chemistry.
